Josh is a senior editor for Business Insider, where he writes commentary on politics, business, and the economy.

Before joining Business Insider, he was a founding correspondent at The Upshot, the economics and data section of The New York Times. Before that, he was Business Insider’s politics editor. Before entering journalism, he worked in policy research for think tanks and as a real-estate banker at Wells Fargo.

Josh is a contributor to MSNBC; host of KCRW’s “Left, Right & Center”; and cohost with Linette Lopez of “Hard Pass.” He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Harvard College.
